Music

The music program at GSBC is one of the best in the nation. Student from all around the country with different skill levels come to learn from the most excellent and well-trained music faculty.  Music chairperson, Dr. Mike Zachary is a very accomplished musician and professor who challenges his students to go above and beyond their own musical abilities so that upon completion of the music program, students have obtained the skills to understand, teach, and arrange their own works of music.

In such a short amount of time, students learn how to improve their musical abilities through theory, personal lessons, practice, and many other classes.

Not only do students learn professional musical skills, but they are also given the opportunity to put to use what they have learned in the classroom in a practical way throughout the week in chapel services and in weekend ministries of North Valley Baptist Church. In addition, students are able to participate in special music groups like the choir, chorale, and chapel specials.

Many have said that the music program makes the most impossible musical task seem possible and the most unreachable goals seem reachable because of the first class education and opportunity to put to work what was taught in the classroom.

The faculty of GSBC strives for quality and wants to see each student perform to the best of his abilities so that he can use his talents to bring honor to the name of Jesus. The music program has been designed, tested, and proven to produce well- trained students for the ministry.
