Look What God is Doing at GSBC

Look at what God is doing at the North Valley Baptist Church…through the ministry of Golden State Baptist College. Since its founding in 1996, God has placed His hand of blessing on this needed ministry. Since the first graduating class of 4 in 1998, nearly 900 have walked across the platform to receive their diploma. Now hundreds of our Alumni are scattered around the country and around the globe serving the Lord full time, making a difference.

We also praise God for the 40+ Alumni who are pastoring churches around the United States. An army of our Alumni are also youth pastors, Christian school teachers, assistant pastors, and godly supporting wives.

The next generation of GSBC graduates are studying now and have come from all over the country and world to learn the tools necessary to reach this world for Christ. In these halls of learning, students learn practical lessons like English, Math, and Science. They also learn specialty skills like graphic design, photography, videography, web design, radio, and more in the brand-new GSBC Media Center.

Future missionaries learn from seasoned missionaries, David & Jolene Sloan and Nancy Lalman. Bible classes are taught by seasoned men of God who make the Bible come alive. God has blessed GSBC with incredible faculty and staff.

Every weekday, the students are also challenged, encouraged, and motivated to accomplish something great for Christ in the daily chapel services.

Our college is also privileged to have pastors drive and fly in to teach classes every week. They transfer not only knowledge but also a heart for the things of God. Three of our visiting pastors have been teaching for over 20 years, and have accumulated over 500,000 miles traveling back and forth to GSBC.

Not only do the students have many opportunities to grow spiritually but also socially with the variety of activities provided. Students are able to socialize in the Golden Grille, the 50s styled diner, or the new Activity center and student lounge. The young people also participate in intramural sports like basketball, volleyball, and football.

On the weekends, the students put what they’ve learned into practice. They run their own bus routes, teach Sunday school classes, preach, minister to the elderly, and reach the lost with the Gospel.

Truly, what has been accomplished on this amazing 6-acre property is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes.
