On Wednesday evening, I spoke for Pastor Mike Johnson at the Shasta Baptist Church in Redding, California. For many years now, Pastor Johnson has hosted Musical May, a special emphasis on music for the Wednesday evening services during the month of May. Brother Johnson has a burden for his people to have their hearts right with the Lord in the area of music, and it was a blessing to me to be able to take part again this year.

Several of our graduates are on staff there at Shasta Baptist Church and School. I was encouraged to see them faithfully serving the Lord there in Redding. We had a great time with the young people in the Christian school during the chapel service Wednesday morning, met with all the folks involved in the choir and special music before church, and enjoyed the service on Wednesday night.

As always, Pastor Johnson and the folks at Shasta Baptist Church were great hosts, and it was exciting to meet several young people who will be new students here at GSBC this fall!
