On Wednesday, we are looking forward to having a host of new students here on our campus! Our staff is busy putting the finishing touches on everything and preparing for Opening Day. We can’t wait to meet the new freshman class!

Today we begin our annual Staff Orientation for all of the employees of North Valley Baptist Church, North Valley Baptist School, and Golden State Baptist College.  Every year at Staff Orientation, our pastor and chancellor, Dr. Trieber, meets with the entire staff for three days of instruction in preparation for the upcoming school year. Today I will have the privilege to introduce our new faculty and staff and share a session with the college employees during the morning. In a week and a half, the students will be here!

Only 18 more days until the dorms open for the fall semester! My, this place is busy! Everywhere you look things are being painted, repairs are being made, and flowers are being planted. We are in the process of purchasing new mattresses for the dormitories, and they should be in place by the end of week. Our students will be getting better rest this semester, and that should be a blessing to the students and the faculty!

Last night our chancellor, Dr. Trieber, preached an incredible message entitled, “Peradventure Ten Shall Be Found.” I would encourage you to take the time to follow this link and hear the message. In this day, there is a great need for people who desire to live for God, not only in this country, but also around the world. I hope this message will encourage you to be “one of the ten.”
